Apna Ghar Ashram is a humanitarian initiative dedicated to providing shelter, care, and dignity to the constrained, helpless, and needy individuals across India. With 25 branches nationwide and its headquarters in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, the Ashram has become a sanctuary for those who have been abandoned, are mentally unwell, or are suffering from physical ailments.
The Varanasi branch of Apna Ghar Ashram, inaugurated on 14 October 2018, currently houses over 560 residents—affectionately referred to as Prabhujis. As soon as we receive information about individuals in distress, our team responds promptly to bring them to the Ashram, where they are offered comprehensive support including shelter, nutritious meals, medical check-ups, and compassionate care. Many of our residents struggle with mental illness or severe health conditions, and we are committed to ensuring that each of them is treated with respect, empathy, and the basic comforts they deserve.
